Homepage Customization

Can I have more than one homepage?
Yes. Chevrolet MyLink gives you the ability to have multiple homepages. This allows you to put everything you need at your fingertips, while features you don’t access as often will be on other pages.
Can I customize my Chevrolet MyLink homepage?
Of course! Chevrolet MyLink lets you organize the icons, so you can easily access the features you use the most. However, only your first homepage is customizable.
Can I change the number of icons on my Chevrolet MyLink homepage?
Yes, you can have up to eight (8) icons. If you only want four shown, the other features will be removed from the page. However, no features will be deleted. They will just be accessible on your next homepage, which can be accessed by pushing “Next” on the screen.

USB Connectivity

Why is my USB not being recognized by the system?
Occasionally, software on the drive may conflict with the system. If this happens, we recommend formatting your USB before using it, or using a different USB.
What file formats of songs and playlists are supported by Chevrolet MyLink?
A large variety of song file formats are compatible, such as MP3, WMA and AAC. The following playlist files are supported: M3U standard and extended, iTunes, PLS, WAX, ASX and RMP.
Why isn’t the music on my USB being indexed by Chevrolet MyLink?
If you have files other than music and pictures on your USB, they could interfere with the system indexing your music. We would recommend clearing your USB of additional files if you plan to connect it with Chevrolet MyLink. If this is not the issue, it could be that there is special security or encryption software on your USB thumb drive. Also, the system may not support that format of device (e.g., Microsoft Zune)

Bluetooth Streaming Audio

How do I pair my Bluetooth phone with Chevrolet MyLink?
First make sure your phone’s Bluetooth feature is turned on. Once your Bluetooth is ‘on’, you’ll be able to use voice commands by pushing the voice recognition button on the steering wheel. After it says, “please say a command”, respond with “pair” or “connect” after the beep. Your phone will scan for devices and the vehicle will show up on the phone, which you’ll need to select to begin pairing. Confirm the choice to pair and look for you phone to be displayed on the screen.
Is my older Bluetooth phone compatible with the Chevrolet MyLink system?
Most phones work with MyLink; however, some older phones may not support every feature available on the MyLink system. If your phone falls into this category, you may not be able to access all features but you’ll still be able to make hands-free calls.

Pandora Internet Radio

Why won’t MyLink access Pandora through my connected iPhone?
We recommend that you make sure the iPhone has the latest Pandora app and that the phone is unlocked with no apps running in the background.
Why can’t I create a new Pandora station?
The Chevrolet MyLink system only allows you to pull in stations that you’ve already created through the web or your smartphone. You won’t be able to create a new Pandora station when your phone is paired with the MyLink system.

Stitcher Smart Radio

How long does it usually take to access my Stitcher stations?
Generally it takes about 30 seconds, but it all depends on the quality of your connection. Once the station acquisition is complete, you’ll be able to listen to your show.
Where did my album art and thumbs-up/thumbs-down buttons go?
If you are an OnStar subscriber and are using Turn-by-Turn directions, these features will overlay any screen display options on the right-hand side. This means that you may not be able to see the icons and/or album art if you are in turn-by-turn mode.

SiriusXM Satellite Radio

Do I need a SiriusXM Satellite Radio subscription to use it with Chevy’s MyLink?
Yes, you’ll need a subscription. Chevrolet MyLink is simply the tool you use to access SiriusXM channels. However, most new Chevy models come standard with 3 months of SiriusXM Satellite Radio. After this subscription expires, you’ll be given the option to purchase it or not.
Do I need connect my phone to access SiriusXM Radio?
No, there is no need to connect your phone to use SiriusXM Radio since the channels are satellite-based.

USB Media Devices

Why isn’t the music on my USB being indexed by Chevrolet MyLink?
If you have files other than music and pictures on your USB, they could interfere with the system indexing your music. We would recommend clearing your USB of additional files if you plan to connect it with Chevrolet MyLink. If this is not the issue, it could be that there is special security or encryption software on your USB thumb drive. Also, the system may not support that format of device (e.g., Microsoft Zune)
Will Chevrolet MyLink save and store all of the songs to its hard drive?
No, Chevrolet MyLink only lets you access music through your connected/paired device. The system has built-in memory, but not a hard drive. An integrated memory is used to store the list of the songs on your paired device – this gives the system the power to remember the list every time you connect that device.

Gracenote Technology

What is Gracenote?
Gracenote is a technology that helps identify your music. When your device connects to your Chevy MyLink Technology, Gracenote will index your songs, fill in missing information, and display any album art. It also assigns tags and nicknames to your songs, giving you the ability to quickly access any song you want using a simple voice command.
When Gracenote fills in missing information, does that information go back on my device?
No, Gracenote is technology embedded in the Chevrolet MyLink system only. This means that it will not fix any missing information on your device.

Enhanced Voice Control

Why does Chevrolet MyLink not recognize the number I want to dial?
Our speech patterns have the tendency to string numbers together, which means it can be difficult for the MyLink technology to recognize what number is trying to be accessed. The voice control accuracy will be greatly improved if you talk slowly and enunciate each number clearly.
Why does the Chevrolet MyLink not understand my command?
Although Chevy MyLink uses high-accuracy enhanced voice control technology, there are still a few factors that could interfere with how well your MyLink system understands your command. This could be anything from highway speeds to open windows to high fan speeds. To eliminate these interferences, close all windows and lower the fan speed to a minimum when giving voice commands. If it still doesn’t work, it may be that you’re speaking too soon after the beep.
Will the system recognize any word I say?
The Chevrolet MyLink system has highly accurate voice-recognition software that has the ability to recognize a variety of simple commands, as well as most names. However, there may still be nicknames and/or slang terms that the system may not recognize.

Sirius XM Travel Link

Is the SiriusXM Travel Link included in the SiriusXM Satellite Radio subscription?
Yes, the SiriusXM Travel Link is included as part of the 90-day SiriusXM Satellite Radio trial period that comes standard on every new Chevy vehicle. After the trial period is complete, SiriusXM Travel Link will need to be purchased along with the SiriusXM Satellite Radio subscription.
